Just noticed it’s been a while since I last placed something worth reading up.

Sirens; depicted as beautiful women, whose bodies, not only their voices, are seductive. The term “siren song” refers to an appeal that is hard to resist but that, if heeded, will lead to a bad result.

Succubus; In Western medieval legend, a succubus (plural succubi) is a demon, who takes the form of a beautiful woman to seduce men. They draw energy from the men to sustain themselves, often until the point of exhaustion or death of the victim.

In ancient times the above incarnations where chronicled in books and their very existence was shrouded in mystery and legend. I have never seen the mythological depiction of either but I am starting to believe that’s they exist more than before. As humans have adapted/evolved I believe they have also done so as not to be detected. Another theory is that we all have a siren in our life that every time we sense something too good to be true it’s a siren calling us towards it with the final results being disastrous.  

I think my current siren is ‘work’ – I wake up every morning with a smile and glee on my face until I get into he building where bye the end of the day I am cowering on the floor a husk of my former self – I even catch myself at my desk wondering if this job was the right thing for me – The place I left knew me and understood me, however the new place promised to be so more understanding and offered the promise of things that the old place was not willing to do or consider. The old place appreciated the talents and skills but the new place promised to nurture these skills and abilities and make them greater. Now the new place only notices you exist when they need you. Now I feel like I have just become a number where before I felt like I was an individual unique and one of a kind. The new office wont make you feel too comfortable (still no desk) but will make you fell important for that short time you are there building up your hopes just enough to keep you interested and wanting to stay a little longer even thou you know its just wrong and not healthy for you, When you are relaxed and feeling at ease again the work will then hire more people to replace you and wipe the slate clean – going out with the tide so to speak.   

A wise person told me a long time ago to be aware of the sirens as once they call you onto the rocks there is no escape from the wreckage which they cause. It seems that this person was sucked in by a siren or he could have just been a really bad sailor. While he was on a collision course towards the siren’s rocks he thought everything was lovely/beautiful and young and great then the next thing he realised was he is on the rocks a wreck of his shadow self with no one able to rescue him out of fair of facing the wrath of the siren or being seduced as well and suffering the same fate.

A little while ago I read a statement from the famous art of war: All warfare is based on deception.

What I find strange is that the words above however simple can be interpreted in so many different ways. In the current climate I think this is so obvious and true.

Women wear makeup, heals, perfume and some even have implants – why? we all know you are trying to deceive us and it’s not real but then men do the same to wage war I mean have a relationship. But what is the point does it get us any where or any further to the end goal – no it just prolongs the inevitable.

Anyway to some up my random post spanning three different things beware of the beautiful allure of what you can not see or perceive you want. Trust in the knowledge that this is not what you want as sometimes its best just to stay clear as once you are in you can not escape and your inevitable fate would have been sealed. However if for some reason you are lured in wage war hold out baits to entice the enemy when you have the upper hand regain control of the situation and escape before it is too late. Being able to spot the signs and understand what is going on is always a valuable tactic. 

Do not heed the sirens song and understand the situation you are about to get into or already in. there are many around you just know the signs and stay away from the rocks.
